Trial
Try Hive free for 14 days: 10 nodes, 10 users, and no limit on apps, functions or previews, for one installation. It takes no card. A trial is not a subscription: nothing is charged, and there is nothing to cancel.
Start a trial
- In System → License, click Start a 14-day trial. The button shows while no key has been installed, and opens the license portal's trial page with the installation ID filled in.
- Sign in to the portal, or create an account with your email address: the portal emails you a link to finish creating it.
- Check the Installation ID. The first time, give the Name on the license, yours or your company's. Click Start the trial.
- The portal shows the key, emails it, and keeps it under Licenses. Copy it.
- Paste it into System → License, under Install a key: see Install a license key.
System → License then shows Hive, with the status Trial and the day
it ends. A banner counts the days down, such as Hive trial: 13 days left.
The portal's own pricing page has Try it free for 14 days under Hive too: it asks for the installation ID.
One per installation, one per account
An installation has one trial, and so does an account. A second one is refused:
This installation has already had a trial, or
This account has already had its trial.
A trial stays with the installation it was started for: it cannot be moved.
When it ends
A trial has no grace period. When its 14 days are over, the installation is on Bee. Nothing that runs is stopped: an installation with more than Bee's limits keeps everything, and can add nothing more of that kind. See Grace, expiry and limits.
Buy at any time
Subscribe to any plan, during the trial or after it, with Upgrade in System → License: see Buying and billing. The paid key replaces the trial's. The checkout shows it, and emails it, to paste. With online renewal on, an installation still on its trial key gets the paid one by itself at its next daily check, or at once with Check for a newer key.
